The recent dwindling oil revenue in Nigeria which plunged the nation’s economy into recession signified urgent need for economic diversification and agricultural sector has been the target sector identified by the government and major stakeholders in the country.

Thousands of graduates are been drafted into the NYSC scheme annually for a compulsory one year service to the nation. Upon completion of the program only few are able to seek decent employment while the large percentage join the existing unemployed graduates to compete for few or unavailable jobs in the labor market. The consequences of these are evident in various youth unrest, drug abuse, prostitution among other social vices.

Frotchery farms limited team visited the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp at Iseyin to sensitize the new corp members on the high importance of involving in agriculture as a business irrespective of their academic background using Frotchery farms limited co-founders as a reference point who are from diverse academic and cultural background but came together as a result of their passion to make a difference in Agriculture and to create opportunities for other youths.

Our goal involves utilizing the existing liaison with relevant developmental organizations to communicate the latest agricultural innovations, products as well as other pertinent information to youths who have interest in agricultural sector and offer series of trainings to youths who have interest among agricultural value chain.

We believe the launch of this training by us would not only help meet our goals for the company but place the youths in the forefront of a growing new era of economic deviation.
